A Different Kind of Home Help --
By Women, For Women

I started this business because I saw too many capable, independent women, queer, and nonbinary folks struggling to get help in their homes.

Too often, getting assistance means:

  • Feeling talked down to

  • Being overcharged

  • Managing everything yourself

That's not how it should be.

Our approach is simple:

  • Treat your home with respect

  • Communicate clearly

  • Do quality work you can rely on

We're here so you can feel confident and comfortable from start to finish.

Owner

Hi, I'm Ginger!

If you'd told me years ago that I'd end up running a handywoman business, I probably would have laughed. But looking back, it actually makes perfect sense.

I grew up with a stay-at-home dad—aka "Mr. Mom." He ran a taxidermy business out of our basement, and from a young age I learned what it meant to work hard and build something of your own. I was earning spending money helping with odd jobs in his shop, from finishing deer noses to sewing coyote legs. It definitely wasn't your typical childhood job, but it taught me that if you're willing to learn and work hard, you can do just about anything.

I also spent plenty of time "borrowing" my dad's tools to fix things around the house. I was always curious about how things worked, and I loved figuring things out. I even tried to design and build my own tree fort. The planning went much better than the construction, but it's safe to say the interest was there from the beginning.

After college, I became a physical therapist, and for more than 10 years I've had the privilege of helping people move better, feel better, and get back to doing the things they love. I still love helping people—that part hasn't changed.

What has changed is that, after buying my own home, I discovered that I genuinely enjoy home improvement projects. I like learning how things work, tackling repairs, and knowing enough to make informed decisions when I do need to call in a specialist. The more I learned, the more confident I became.

Along the way, I realized I wasn't the only woman who wanted to feel more confident when it came to home maintenance.

I've had experiences where I felt ignored, talked down to, or left with more questions than answers. I've heard the same stories from friends, family, and patients. It isn't always intentional, but it can make asking for help feel intimidating.

That's why I started this business.

I wanted to create a home services company where people feel comfortable asking questions, where communication is clear, and where no project is "too small" to matter. Whether I'm replacing a light fixture, installing a new faucet, assembling furniture, or helping plan a custom project, my goal is simple: to make taking care of your home feel a little less stressful.

Helping people has always been at the center of everything I've done. As a physical therapist, I helped people care for their bodies. As a handywoman, I get to help people care for one of the other most important places in their lives—their homes.

If I can leave your home a little more functional, a little more comfortable, and leave you feeling a little more confident than when I arrived, then I've done my job.

I'd love the opportunity to help you with your next project.
